Blastomere Biopsy Pipettes
-Blastomere biopsy pipettes are used to remove blastomeres and trophectoderm cells from embryos for pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD).
-These pipettes come in 2 tip styles: flat or beveled.
-Pipettes can be further customized by inner diameter and tip angle.
-Inner diameters of 20 µm and 25 µm are recommended for trophectoderm (TE) biopsy.
-There is no shrinkage at the bend so damage to the blastomere is unlikely in the case that it is sucked through.
-Tips are fire polished to reduce damage to the cell membrane.
